Legna Rodriguez Iglesias was born in Camaguey, Cuba in 1984. She works in a variety of genres, including poetry, short stories, novels, children’s books and theatre. She has won a number of prestigious national and international prizes; most recently she was awarded the Premio Paz in 2016 in Miami for her collection of poems, Miami Century Fox.

Serafina Vick recently graduated with First Class Honours from King’s College London. In 2014 she spent 7 months living in Cuba where she began a project working with young Cuban poets, including Oscar Cruz. She currently works as a freelance translator, interpreter and reader, working on everything from poetry to documentaries.

Clare Pollard is an award winning UK poet, She has published four collections with Bloodaxe Books, latest is Incarnation. She has extensive experience as a translator, co-translating Caasha Lul Mohamud Yusuf for the PTC. Clare also mentors for New Writing North, and is a core tutor on the new Poetry School/University of Newcastle Poetry MA.
